What the case is about
Saturday, 12 April 2025, Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo. Seven people at the closing dinner for the sale of Bodega Santa Ilde to a Chilean group, and a blind tasting of twenty-two wines on the table.
At 23:07 Ignacio Beltrán Olmos dies. Sixty-one years old, third generation, owner of all of it. Documented sulphite hypersensitivity since 2009. Beside the body, his adrenaline pen, used. The prosecutor closed the file in forty-eight hours: anaphylactic shock, accidental death, the rescue failed.
The son is the suspect anybody would pick. He opposed the sale, he threatened his father that week in front of six witnesses, and his prints are on the cap of the pen. Too tidy.
Around the table sit the administrator who has spent twenty years at the winery, the oenologist who keeps a notebook that should not exist, the sommelier who found the body and lies about the time, the sister who pushed the sale, and the buyer's analyst who arrived asking questions.
